Description
Manufacturing Process of Auto Wheel Hub & Bearings
1. Material Selection
- High-strength alloy steel (e.g., SAE 52100) is chosen for its durability and resistance to wear and tear.
2. Forging
- The hub and bearing rings are forged into their rough shape to improve material density and strength.
3. Turning (Machining)
- The inner and outer bearing rings, as well as the hub, are machined to precise dimensions.
4. Heat Treatment
- Components undergo heat treatment (such as carburizing or induction hardening) to enhance hardness and longevity.
5. Grinding & Superfinishing
- Precision grinding ensures smooth surfaces, correct alignment, and tight tolerances.
6. Bearing Assembly
- The wheel hub is integrated with ball or tapered roller bearings, along with grease and protective seals.
7. Lubrication & Sealing
- Bearings are pre-lubricated with high-performance grease, and advanced sealing systems are added to prevent contamination.
8. Quality Inspection
- Bearings are tested for load capacity, durability, and dimensional accuracy.
9. Packaging & Distribution
- Final products are packed and shipped to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) or the aftermarket for vehicle assembly or replacement.
